Oh well, here I am it’s 02:30 in the night and I’m supposed to be in bed, but still I don’t feel like it.
I went through my gallery again, there’s something magic about it; all my previous goals, exploits and thoughts flare to life again. I guess a picture truly says more than a thousand words.
Except I never imagined that I’d actually been storing myself like this; hahahaha.
No really I’ve long known that watching your old pictures can really fire you up and give you lots and lots of inspiration, but I guess I had to go get myself lost to figure out that something was missing.
Thing is since I’ve begun working for Studio Freaks Inc. I’ve got less time to paint, and also I’ve completely submerged in different code projects. Really I’ve been coding even when I’m not working.. OMG! That’s exactly the kind of nose I always try to paint but always fail to achieve!!"
Well the result is that suddenly when people asked I begun referring to myself as a software engineer (Eh? where the hell did world’s greatest illustrator go?!) – Well that’s the question I’ve been asking myself these past weeks:
Painting…. is it game over?
He’s still around somewhere inside me, and he actually woke up just yesterday when I saw the nose of a girl in a party picture from this weekend.
"
Really I was completely stunned couldn’t believe my eyes, so I grabbed a dusty sketch block and begun identifying the areas, and before I knew it I was suddenly painting again as if I had never stopped!
So today I’ve spent most of the day painting too, the picture I’m working on now isn’t complete yet and most of the day I still hadn’t quite come to understand what had happened.
But taking this stroll through the gallery suddenly made me realize, I’m an f*king illustrator going for world domination! The Power is Overwhelming!!
I can’t believe that I doubted myself, and now that I understand the importance of saving your results, I begin to understand why I’m making such slow progress with music. I HAVE TO RECORD MY TUNES!!
Yeah that’s Neuro Linguistic Programming for you! If you’re juggling several skills make sure to document your results! Your mindset will also be stored and when you later come to observe the results you will also retrieve your mindset!
All I have left is the hard part, how the hell does one tell a stranger “Oh hai! I borruwed ur nose and stared at it for hours! Hope u don’t mind” – without sounding like a complete nutcase?
